Reliving the good old days

Sunday, September 12, 2004

Although I saw the light many years ago, I started off my computing life on Macs. Recently I've been reliving those days a little using an emulator with an image of the hard disk of a Mac I've still got hanging around in the loft.

Although it comes in handy for checking compatibility with Safari and IE for Mac which tend to have a few CSS issues, I have to admit I also enjoy playing old games I used to play. The small screenshot below features a shot from Escape Velocity: Nova, a more up to date version of a game I used to play featuring little 3D rendered ships on a 2D playing field; System's Twilight, a freeware puzzle game and lastly a shot from the original Myst. I've rediscovered many forgotten classics that I used to find on the MacFormat floppy disks, and later on their CDs.
