Cartoon character skeletal systems

Tuesday, December 21, 2004

Have you always wondered what a cartoon character's skeleton looks like? How on earth can Tweety Pie's neck support a head that big? How do character's skulls not cave in with eye sockets taking up two thirds of their face? Hmm... me neither, but Michael Paulus wants to show us what he thinks none the less... it's a little freaky!

A finished site design at last?

Tuesday, December 14, 2004

I've been fairly busy of late with a range of things, particularly working on my new car, hence the sporadic journal entries. Site news is rarely especially exciting, but I finally got round to finishing a design for the site. I tend to get sidetracked with other projects and leave this site in a rather incomplete state.

For that reason, I decided to build this one back up from scratch. Its not massively dissimilar, but I suppose I'm fairly pleased with it. Technically its the fifth full revision of the site, but a couple of the others were only small changes. With the previous liquid design, I was forever checking things were working fine in a range of resolutions, so I decided I might as well simply do things with a fixed width to suit the lowest of those.

I still haven't implemented any form of comments system within the journal, but it might be something I do at some point, though I'm not quite sure how big a following there would be. I intend to put more time into posting journal entries, and I'd love to do more in the way of photography and pixelart for appearing on the site - I'll have to see how much spare time I have. Who knows, I may even post some interesting CSS titbits...
