Finally got round to building a new PC
Friday, April 2, 2004
I often build new systems for people needing computers. I'm sure you know the sort of scenario... A friend of a friend of a friend mentions to their aunt's brother-in-law that they know someone who builds computers without charging anything for himself, and before long you've got a queue outside the front door. Its good to get round to finally doing one for myself.
Having had the previous system (800MHz slot A Athlon) for over four years, it's certainly a welcome upgrade. I seem to go wildly over budget on these things, but I suprised myself by managing to stick to a rather limited £200 budget, so I still have plenty of money for a new car. Hardly an astounding beast, but for just under £200, its hard to complain. Should offer an easy upgrade route as well.
