2003 seems to have flown by for me - the Christmas season just seems to have appeared out of the blue. I managed to get all of my present shopping out of the way today, but I managed to spend a lot more than I intended to. I guess thats just the nature of the beast.
I'll be doing the traditional visit to various different family members and likely participating in far too many different Christmas dinners. Christmas meals tend to fulfil my turkey quota for the year ahead - theres only so much one man can take.

After a little bit of understandable downtime, the long awaited redesign is finally online. Those of you who have been following the site's progress will likely recognise certain elements of the site from it's previous incarnation, whereas some are appearing for the first time. Its not entirely functional or finished yet, but it will be shortly.
I have to confess, it took me a while to work out where I was going and how best to get started on it, but once I was underway it all started coming together quicker than expected. We're now table free at last - all the layout is put together using CSS. The original site was all valid HTML 4, but the site is now XHTML 1.1 - take a look at the about page to learn more.
The biggest change to the site is the journal you're reading now. In the past the front page of the site has always been static, but I decided something more exciting would be more beneficial to the readers. Lets just hope I can come up with some interesting content for you all...
